One day, in a town far away, someone brought Miss Mable to a boarding facility. The owner claimed that they were going on vacation and would return for her. Sadly, that never happened and she was considered abandoned and brought to her local shelter, which was a kill shelter. She caught the eye of someone there just in time, and after a long journey, meeting many amazing people along the way, a couple of days later we were accepting Miss Mabel into our Adoption Center. Now, she is in a wonderful home with her new family!
From her owners:
"Hi Humane Society of New York,
We just wanted to let you know that we have had a fantastic first month with Miss Mabel (who we now call Ellie). She has settled in really well. She is a real sweetie at home, enjoys lots of cuddles and sleeping, but has limitless energy outside.
We take her for long walks every day around Roosevelt Island. She is super friendly with other people and has met lots of other dogs. People are always commenting about how sweet she is and how good she is with their dogs and with kids. We have taken her off the island and walked Central Park with her (she is obsessed by squirrels). She plays very well in dog parks and is easily the fastest and friendliest dog there!
She is just too good to be true and a completely perfect match for us.
We cannot thank you enough for rescuing her and for allowing her to be part of our family.
We've attached a few photos.
Hope to see you soon.
Best wishes,
P."
